Glaucoma
Glaucoma is a disease of the optic nerve which is usually associated with high pressure inside the eye. Treatment with eye drops or laser is usually tried before surgery. Surgery has increasingly become an effective and proven form of treatment. It may be recommended for various reasons but usually because treatment with eye drops has failed for some reason. The aim of the surgery is to reduce the pressure inside the eye.
An Ophthalmologist will recommend the best surgical method for your particular circumstances.
