Payments and health funds

If you are insured accounts are forwarded direct to the relevant health fund.

If you have any queries regarding your level of cover and the potential for that level to result in an excess payment it is essential you check with your health fund prior to admission. In addition there are a few health funds with which we do not have a contract.

Excess payment is common and needs to be paid at the time of admission to our day hospital.

If you are uninsured please make sure that you are aware of the cost as payment (in full) is required at the time of admission. We accept cash, cheque, Mastercard, Visa and Eftpos. (You may need to verify your daily Eftpos withdrawal limit).

Please note that our fees are not covered by Medicare.

Your Ophthalmologist and Anaesthetist will send separate accounts for their services
